The investment seeks income. The fund invests mainly in floating rate loans that hold a senior position in the capital structure of U.S. and foreign corporations, partnerships or other business entities. It normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in Senior Loans. The fund can invest 25% or more of its total assets in securities of the group of industries in the financial services sector. It can invest up to 100% of its assets in debt instruments rated below investment-grade, and will normally invest a substantial portion of its assets in those securities.
