The fund invests at least 80% of the fund's total assets in a diversified portfolio of U.S. and non-U.S. income-producing securities of any quality, including dividend-paying common and preferred stocks, convertible bonds, corporate bonds and derivatives. It invests principally in below investment-grade debt securities of corporate issuers. The fund invests up to 30% of its assets in equity securities, including common and preferred stocks. The target allocation ranges for its investments are 70% to 90% in debt securities and 10% to 30% in equity securities.
