The investment seeks a high level of income consistent with preservation of capital. The fund invests at least 65% of net assets in investment grade debt securities including securities issued or guaranteed by the U.S. government, its agencies or government-sponsored enterprises; debt securities of U.S. issuers; debt securities of non-U.S. issuers that are denominated in U.S. dollars; mortgage-backed and other asset-backed securities; and inflation-linked investments. In addition, the fund may invest in derivatives. Currently, it expects to invest in derivatives consisting principally of futures, forwards, options, and swaps.
