The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities, including common stocks, American Depositary Receipts and Global Depositary Receipts, of emerging country issuers. It generally invests in at least three emerging countries, and, at times, may invest a substantial portion of its assets in a single emerging country.
