Summary
The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation primarily through investment in equity securities of corporations domiciled in Far Eastern or Western Pacific countries, including Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea and India. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in a portfolio of equity securities of companies located in Far Eastern or Western Pacific countries. For the most part, these securities will be common stock and convertible securities. Many of the companies in which the fund invests are located in markets generally considered to be emerging markets. It may also invest in convertible securities.
