The investment seeks to generate a high total return through a combination of capital appreciation and income, consistent with prudent investment risk. The fund, under normal circumstances, invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, at the time of initial purchase, in debt securities of emerging market issuers.
