The investment seeks to maximize total return. The fund invests its assets (excluding U.S. cash and U.S. cash equivalents) primarily in instruments of issuers that are economically tied to emerging market countries. It may invest without limit in both investment-grade and high yield securities. The fund may purchase securities of various maturities, but expects to maintain an average portfolio duration of one to five years. It may invest up to 25% of its net assets in convertible bonds which may be issued by companies of all sizes and market capitalizations that are economically tied to an emerging market country. The fund is non-diversified.
