The fund invests mainly (at least 80% of its net assets and typically more) in equity securities, which may include stock, stock futures, rights, warrants or securities convertible into stock, of foreign companies. It may invest to a lesser extent in American Depository Receipts and Global Depository Receipts and other similar instruments, each of which represents ownership of underlying foreign securities in currencies other than that of the country of incorporation. The fund may also invest to a lesser extent in common stocks of foreign companies located in emerging markets.
