The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in the stock of foreign companies, with the emphasis on companies with a market capitalization of approximately $3 billion or greater. It may invest in these securities directly, or may invest through American Depository Receipts ("ADRs"), which are receipts typically issued by a U.S. financial institution evidencing ownership of underlying securities of foreign corporate issuers. The fund may also invest up to 20% of its assets in securities of companies whose principal business activities are located in emerging market countries.
