The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund invests primarily in common stocks of foreign companies of any size, including companies that are economically tied to developed and emerging industrialized markets. It will normally invest in a number of countries throughout the world and expects to be investing in more than three different foreign countries. The fund follows a disciplined selling strategy and may sell a stock when it reaches a target price, fails to perform as expected, or when other opportunities appear more attractive. It may also engage in borrowing and securities lending transactions and use derivatives.
