The fund primarily invests in equity securities, including common stocks and convertible securities, of well-financed companies (meaning companies with high quality assets and conservative levels of liabilities) located outside of the United States. While the fund may invest in companies located anywhere in the world, it currently expects that most of its assets will be invested in the more developed countries and, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its assets will be invested in securities of issuers located outside of the United States at the time of investment.
