Summary

The investment seeks current income and, secondarily, capital appreciation. The fund invests, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in the securities of issuers principally engaged in the real estate industry and other real estate-related investments. It will invest in both equity and debt securities. The fund may invest up to 30% of its net assets in non-investment grade securities including non-investment grade preferred stocks and convertible preferred securities and non-investment grade debt securities (commonly known as "junk bonds").
