Summary

The investment seeks a high level of current income primarily through investment in below-investment grade debt securities. The fund will invest, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowing for investment purposes) in high yield fixed income securities of corporate issuers located in the United States rated below investment grade. It may invest up to 20% of its assets in securities of issuers located in developed and emerging market foreign countries. The fund also may invest up to 20% of its assets in equity and equity-related securities. The fund's average duration ranges from two to six years.
