Summary
The investment seeks high current income; capital appreciation is a secondary goal. The fund invests at least 80% of net assets in U.S. and foreign fixed-income securities that, at the time of investment, are rated BB/Ba or lower or are unrated equivalents ("junk bonds") as rated by S&P/Moody's or if unrated, deemed like quality by the subadviser. There is no limit on the fund's average maturity. The foreign securities in which the fund may invest include both developed and emerging market securities. In addition, it may invest up to 20% of its net assets in U.S. and foreign common stocks of companies of any size.
