Summary
The investment seeks a high level of current income. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its assets in non-investment grade (high yield/high risk, sometimes called "junk bonds") debt instruments or in instruments with characteristics of non-investment grade debt instruments. It invests principally in instruments that have intermediate to long terms to maturity, which generally means that the fund will hold instruments with final maturities greater than one year. Debt instruments in which the fund invests include bonds, notes and floating rate loans, including those of foreign issuers which are denominated in U.S. dollars.
