The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets in U.S. dollar denominated debt or fixed income securities that are rated below investment grade at the time of purchase by one or more Nationally Recognized Statistical Rating Organizations ("NRSROs") or are of a comparable quality as determined by the subadviser. It considers securities that are rated below Baa or BBB to be rated below investment grade. The fund may also enter into various derivative transactions for both hedging and non-hedging purposes, including for purposes of enhancing returns.
