Summary
The investment seeks a high level of income exempt from regular federal income tax. The fund invests at least 80% of net assets in securities issued by municipalities across the United States and in other securities whose income is free from regular federal income tax. It normally invests at least 50% of total assets in municipal securities of the top four grades of credit quality. The fund may invest up to 20% of net assets in securities whose income is subject to the federal alternative minimum tax (AMT). It may invest up to 50% of total assets in high yield debt securities.
