Summary
The investment seeks a high level of current income exempt from federal income taxes by investing in a diversified portfolio of high-yield municipal securities. The fund normally invests 80% of assets in securities the income from which, in the opinion of counsel to the issuer of each security, is exempt from federal income tax. Up to 100% of the securities it buys may be high-yield, lower-grade fixed income securities. The fund may invest approximately 50% to 70% of assets in these securities which are those rated below "BBB-" by Standard & Poor's or "Baa3" by Moody's or comparable ratings by other nationally recognized statistical rating organizations.
