The investment seeks to provide investors with a high level of total return in excess of inflation as may be consistent with the preservation of capital. At least 80% of the fund's net assets, plus borrowings for investment purposes, will be invested in inflation-indexed securities that are denominated in U.S. dollars and derivative instruments denominated in U.S. dollars whose returns are linked to the inflation rate. The fund will invest in derivatives as a substitute for direct investment in inflation-indexed securities.
