The fund invests normally at least 80% of its net assets in inflation-adjusted U.S. and foreign fixed income securities and normally invests at least 50% of its net assets in U.S. Treasury inflation-protected securities ("TIPS"). It generally invests in investment grade fixed income securities (i.e., securities rated within the four highest grades by a major ratings agency or unrated securities that the fund's subadvisers determine are of comparable quality). The fund generally invests in securities denominated in U.S. dollars, but may also invest its assets in securities denominated in foreign currencies.
