The investment seeks current income consistent with the preservation of capital. The fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in fixed income securities. It will invest primarily in investment and non-investment grade (junk bond) U.S. and foreign corporate and government fixed income securities, including emerging market, asset-backed securities and mortgage-backed securities. The fund may also invest in futures contracts, forward contracts and swaps for speculative or hedging purposes.
