The investment seeks to provide performance and income that is comparable to the S&P 500® Index. The sub-advisor invests, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of the fund's assets in equity securities of companies in the S&P 500® Index. For purposes of this investment strategy, assets of the fund means net assets plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes. In practice, the fund typically holds all 500 of the stocks in the S&P 500® Index, which is a capitalization-weighted index that measures the performance of the large-capitalization sector of the U.S. stock market.
