The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund pursues its goal by generally investing in a broad and diverse group of readily marketable equity securities of U.S. companies traded on a principal U.S. exchange or on the over-the-counter market in the United States. It will invest at least 80% of its net assets in U.S. securities. The fund may also invest up to 5% of its total assets in the U.S. Micro Cap Portfolio, a portfolio of DFA Investment Dimensions Group Inc., a separate registered investment company.
