The investment seeks to match the performance of the entire U.S. stock market. The fund uses the S&P Total Market Index to represent the U.S. stock market as a whole. The fund uses a sampling strategy, investing substantially all of its assets in a broad spectrum of small-, mid-, and large-capitalization stocks representative of the S&P Total Market Index. The index includes approximately 3,700 stocks. It will invest at least 80% of its net assets (including any borrowings for investment purposes) in stocks that are held in its benchmark index.
