Summary

The investment seeks long-term growth of capital and capital preservation. The Portfolio seeks growth of capital to the extent consistent with maintaining protection against significant downside movement of the net asset value ("NAV") per share of each share class of the Portfolio. Specifically, the portfolio manager manages the Portfolio's assets in an effort to ensure that the NAV for any share class will not fall below 80% of the highest NAV attained separately by each share class, reduced for dividends, distributions, any extraordinary expenses, and certain extraordinary items (for each share class, the "Protected NAV").
