The investment seeks total return. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities issued by large-capitalization ("large cap") companies, including common and preferred stocks and convertible securities. The adviser considers a company to be a large cap company if it has a market capitalization, at the time of purchase, over $2 billion. It typically invests in a portfolio of 35 to 55 companies. The fund may also invest up to 20% of its total assets in securities denominated in foreign currencies.
