The investment seeks to provide competitive returns consistent with the broad equity market while also providing a level of capital protection during market downturns. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets in dividend-paying common stocks. It invests primarily in the common stocks of mid to large capitalization companies (generally companies with market capitalizations of more than $2 billion at the time of purchase). The fund may invest in stocks of U.S. and foreign companies, including those in emerging markets, as well as American Depository Receipts (ADRs).
