The investment seeks capital appreciation and dividend income. The fund invests primarily in stocks of US companies that are believed to be undervalued. It normally invests at least 80% of net assets in equity securities issued by large capitalization companies that have total market capitalizations of $3 billion or greater at the time of purchase. The fund is also permitted to engage in "short-selling." It may invest up to 20% of total assets in non-US securities, which may trade either within or outside the US.
