The fund invests primarily in debt obligations that are rated within the three highest ratings categories assigned by a nationally recognized statistical ratings organization, or of comparable quality, at the time of purchase. It invests at least 80% of its assets in bonds. The fund will generally maintain a dollar-weighted average portfolio maturity of three to ten years. It also invests in money market instruments.
