The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund invests primarily in equity securities of companies whose geographical, political and/or demographic situs positions them to outperform other companies. It invests at least 80% of the fund's assets in equity securities. Equity securities include common stocks, preferred stocks and securities convertible into common stocks such as convertible bonds and convertible preferred stocks which, if rated by a Nationally Recognized Statistical Ratings Organization, will be investment-grade at the time of investment. The fund may also invest up to 20% of its assets in the equity securities of foreign issuers.
