The fund invests at least 80% of net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in common stocks of mid-capitalization companies, defined as companies that have market capitalizations at the time of purchase within the market capitalization range of the companies in the Russell Midcap® Index immediately after its most recent reconstitution prior to such purchase. It may frequently invest in companies at the time of their initial public offering. The fund may invest up to 15% of its total assets in non-dollar denominated equity securities of non-U.S. issuers.
