The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets in securities of companies with medium market capitalizations. The sub-adviser generally considers a company to be a mid-capitalization company if the company has a market capitalization range within the Russell Midcap Growth Index. The fund invests primarily in "growth" stocks. It may invest up to 25% of its assets in securities of foreign issuers, including American Depositary Receipts ("ADRs"), European Depositary Receipts (EDRs), Global Depositary Receipts ("GDRs") and emerging market countries.
