Fund Holdings

The fund has more of a small-cap tilt than its sibling, the Westport Fund. The Select Cap Fund gives investors a hefty dose of mid-cap exposure (that market cap made up about 64 percent of total assets as of September 2010) but ups the ante with small-caps, which make up about 23 percent of its total assets. Pursuant to management’s stock-picking focus, investors can expect to see a sprinkling of large- and micro-caps in the portfolio as well. The fund has 35 to 40 holdings, on average. As of September 2010, the fund was most heavily invested in the industrial materials sector, followed by the business services, healthcare, and consumer services sectors.
