The investment seeks long-term capital growth. The fund invests primarily in a portfolio of equity securities that the Manager believes will provide a higher return than the Russell 2500 Index. It typically invests directly and indirectly (e.g., through underlying funds or derivatives) in equity securities of U.S. companies that issue stocks included in the Russell 2500 Index, a U.S. stock index, and in companies with similar market capitalizations ("small- and mid-cap companies"). Under normal circumstances, the fund invests directly and indirectly at least 80% of its assets in investments in small- and mid-cap companies tied economically to the U.S.
