The investment seeks to provide a high total return by investing in equity securities of small- to medium-sized corporations. Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 65% of its total assets in equity securities of small- to medium-sized companies. Under current market conditions, the adviser defines small-and medium-sized corporations by reference to those with market capitalizations up to the largest companies represented in the Russell Midcap® Index. The fund may invest up to 20% of its total assets in securities of foreign issuers and may invest up to 20% of its total assets in real estate investment trusts (REITs).
