Summary

The investment seeks capital growth and income. The fund generally invests in a diversified group of other Schwab and/or Laudus Funds. It invests 55-65% of its assets in equity securities and 35-45% in fixed income securities, and cash and cash equivalents. The fund will invest at least 25% of its assets in equity securities and at least 25% of its assets in fixed income securities. For temporary defensive purposes during unusual economic or market conditions or for liquidity purposes, it may invest up to 100% of its assets directly in cash, money market instruments, repurchase agreements and other short-term obligations.
