The fund invests at least 80% of assets in, or derives at least 80% of income from, securities that are exempt from regular federal income tax. It will not invest in securities that subject to federal alternative minimum tax. The fund invests substantially in debt securities rated A- or better and may also invest in debt securities rated BBB+ or below. It may invest significantly in municipal obligations of issuers in the same state, or engaged in the same type of projects or industries.
