Summary

The investment seeks the maximum current income exempt from federal, New York State and New York City income taxes for individual investors consistent with preservation of capital. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets in New York municipal securities that pay interest that, in the opinion of counsel to the issuer of each security, is exempt from federal and New York State and New York City personal income taxes (referred to as "New York municipal securities"). It will not invest in municipal securities the interest from which would be subject to the federal alternative minimum tax (AMT).
