The fund invests at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities issued by U.S. and foreign Energy and Basic Materials Companies, regardless of their stock market value (or "market capitalization"). It utilizes the Standard & Poor's classification system for purposes of determining whether a company is an Energy or Basic Materials Company. Under adverse market conditions, the fund may also make temporary investments in investment grade debt securities. Such investment strategies could result in the Portfolio not achieving its investment objective. It is non-diversified.
