The investment seeks to provide current income and total return. The fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing, under normal market conditions, at least 80% of its net assets (including investment borrowings) in preferred securities and other securities with similar economic characteristics. Under normal market conditions, it invests substantially all of its net assets in investment grade securities. The fund may invest up to 15% of its net assets in cash and/or cash equivalents.
