The fund invests substantially all of its net assets in securities issued by the U.S. government, its agencies or instrumentalities, including U.S. Treasury securities and Treasury Inflation Protected Securities ("TIPS"), debt securities guaranteed under the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation ("FDIC") Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program and other similar FDIC programs, and zero coupon securities. U.S. Treasury securities are direct obligations of the U.S. Government and can take the form of bonds, notes or bills.
