Summary

The investment seeks liquidity, safety from credit risk and as high a level of income as is consistent with these objectives. In order to meet its investment objective, the fund invests primarily in high-quality bonds whose interest is guaranteed by the full faith and credit of the United States government and its agencies or instrumentalities. Under normal market conditions, it is the fund's policy to invest at least 80% of its total assets (which includes the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes) in securities issued by the U.S. government and its agencies and instrumentalities.
