Summary

The investment seeks to provide current income consistent with preservation of capital. The fund invests primarily in investment grade, U.S. dollar-denominated, debt securities of primarily U.S. issuers. It seeks to identify relative value opportunities between these sectors of the fixed-income market. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in bonds with limited-term maturities; therefore, it seeks to maintain a dollar-weighted average maturity of not less than two years and not more than five years.
