The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in securities of small-cap companies. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities of U.S. companies with market capitalizations at the time of investment of $4 billion or less, which include common stocks, securities convertible into common stock and exchange traded funds ("ETFs") whose underlying securities are issued by small capitalization companies. It may also invest in mid-cap stocks.
