Summary

The investment seeks long-term growth of capital. Normally, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity securities of micro-cap, small-cap and mid-cap companies with market capitalizations up to $5 billion. The long portion of the fund's portfolio is invested primarily in a limited number (generally less than 100) of the equity securities of micro-cap, small-cap and/or mid-cap companies with market capitalizations up to $5 billion. Although the fund normally focuses on the securities of U.S. companies, it may invest up to 10% of its assets in foreign securities. The fund may invest its assets in both long and short positions in equity securities.
