The investment seeks to achieve long-term capital appreciation. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in U.S. micro-cap stocks. It generally considers a stock to be a micro-cap stock if, at the time of purchase, its market capitalization is within the range of capitalizations of companies in the Russell Microcap® Index. As of May 31, 2013, the range of market capitalizations for the Russell Microcap® Index was $30 million to $595.5 million. The fund may retain securities that it already has purchased even if the stock outgrows the capitalization limits.
