The fund invests primarily in established and emerging companies from a universe comprised of small capitalization companies, most with market capitalizations of generally less than $4 billion. It normally invests at least 80% of assets in equity securities of small capitalization companies. The fund may invest up to 25% of the Portfolio's net assets in foreign securities. It may utilize foreign currency forward exchange contracts, which are derivatives, in connection with its investments in foreign securities.
