The investment seeks to achieve as high a total rate of return on an annual basis as is considered consistent with prudent investment risk and the preservation of capital. The fund is designed for an investor who has already reached retirement age (with an assumed retirement around 2010). Its assets are allocated among underlying funds according to an asset allocation strategy that becomes increasingly conservative (currently approximately 50% in equity and similar funds and 50% in fixed income funds, including money market funds), until reaching approximately 35% in equity and similar funds and 65% in fixed income funds, including money market funds.
