The investment seeks to achieve as high a total return over time as is considered consistent with prudent investment risk, preservation of capital and recognition of the fund's current asset allocation. The fund is designed for an investor who has already reached retirement age and who plans to withdraw the value of his or her account at a modest, regular pace over time during retirement. Its assets are allocated among underlying funds according to an asset allocation strategy that becomes increasingly conservative, until reaching approximately 35% in equity and similar funds and 65% in fixed income funds, including money market funds, in or about 2025.
