Summary

The investment seeks to provide capital growth and income consistent with its current asset allocation which will change over time, with an increasing allocation to fixed income funds. The fund is a "fund of funds" and invests only in the shares of other Russell Investment Company ("RIC") Funds (the "underlying funds"). It is designed for investors who plan to retire close to 2020. The fund invests in shares of the underlying funds which represent various asset classes. Its approximate target allocation as of March 1, 2013 is 40% to equity underlying funds, 54% to fixed income underlying funds and 6% to alternative underlying funds.
